Abby Brant is an extremely talented singer / songwriter / Keyboard player who at the age of 27, has written hundreds of songs to date.
Over the years she has performed in numerous bands/duos as well as solo playing keyboards and singing, the keyboards being an integral part of her performance.
One would say that Abby is certainly no stranger to recording and the live circuit!
After recent recognition of her own material when she entered a competition last year run by UB40 to find the "Midlands Finest" in which she became 2nd overall out of some 3,500 entrants.
She has now expanded her project of "getting her own music heard" due to the interest she generated on that occasion.
She has now surrounded herself with equally talented musicians that form the "Abby Brant Sound", taking her distinctive original material to new heights.
The Band has a wealth of experience both in the recording studio and live performance.
The bands unique style combines a mixture of Blues, Funk, Soul and Jazz with the emphasis on strong melody and hook lines.
With their own PA and sound Engineer they have the versatility to play any Venue.
NOW MEET THE BAND
Phil Ball.Phil has been playing guitar ever since finding his Father's guitar at the age of two! His main influences include Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton and Fifties rock 'n' roll. He is at home in the recording studio and live situations, having had a great deal of experience in both.
Mick Warner.Mick has been playing the Bass Guitar for many years around the Midlands Live Band circuit, and is well known for his superb talent. His main influences include Stanley Clarke, Mark King and Andy Fraser.
Stuart Lee.After Leaving the UK for South Africa at eleven he started playing drums and percussion in Africa in his early teens. Those early experiences still influence his playing today. On returning to the UK he settled in Birmingham where he has played with a variety of local bands gigging extensively over the last seventeen years. He enjoys playing different styles and concentrates on the technical side of his playing.
